Richland County authorities are searching for a missing Columbia man with dementia they say could be in danger.

Ruben Crespo, 71, left his home in Columbia around 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. He lives on 1600 block of Drexel Lake Drive.

He was wearing a green windbreaker and blue pants, police said.
Crespo requires medication and suffers from dementia, police said.
If someone sees Crespo or has information about his whereabouts, authorities are encouraging them to call 911 or the Richland County Sheriff’s Department at 803-576-3000.
