A search is underway in South Carolina for teenager who has been missing for more than a week.

Rhonda “Lilly” Bennett was publicly reported missing Thursday by the Cayce Police Department. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office also has asked for help in the search for the 16-year-old.
Bennett was last seen Sept. 6 in Wagener, police said in a news release. It was not clear if Bennett is an Aiken County resident, or where she was when last seen.
On Wednesday, a Facebook page setup to help locate the teen said that Bennett was spotted walking dogs in West Columbia. That page also said it was possible that Bennett was previously seen in Lumberton, North Carolina.
There was no word if Bennett is considered to be a runaway. Police did not say if foul play is suspected in the teen’s disappearance.

Bennett was described as a 5-foot-4, 110-pound teen with blue eyes and black hair, with blonde underneath, according to the release.
Anyone who has seen Bennett, or has information about the teen, is asked to call Cayce police at 803-794-0456, or the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at 803-642-1761.
In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
