You can choose from four trims of the 2026 Volkswagen Jetta: S, Sport (the focus of this lease deal), SE, and SEL. Yes, there’s the GLI, but that car has its own range of trims as well. Pricing starts at $23,995 and goes up to $29,995. Standard equipment includes IQ. Drive advanced driver assists, tire pressure monitoring, dual-zone automatic climate control, digital cockpit, and connected services.

Following its 2025 update, the 2026 model adds more features. The S now gets wireless App-Connect smartphone integration, previously reserved for the higher trims. The upper-mid SE now comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, while the range-topping SEL gets a new eight-speaker audio system.
Regardless of trim, all have the same engine. That’s the 1.5-liter TSI (Turbo Stratified Injection) engine, producing 158 hp and 184 lb-ft. Sadly, the 2025 refresh dropped the manual option, but the eight-speed automatic should please most. If you want a Jetta with three pedals, you’ll have to go for the GLI, but even that will be automatic-only by next year.

The Volkswagen Jetta is literally the only European car you can still get for well under $30,000. For those in the market for a compact sedan who want a different kind of car, it’s good news, and it’s not like it’s lacking in value, either. Even entry-level models are well-equipped, and the interior is spacious for a compact sedan. The Jetta is an underrated choice in its class, but it deserves your attention.
