Police are responding to a lockdown at Lexington High School Thursday afternoon.
The school went into lockdown after a threat was called into the school, the Lexington 1 school district said in an email that went out shortly after 1 p.m.

No details on the nature of the threat were provided, but the high school was in lockdown Thursday afternoon as law enforcement checked the campus.
There were no reports of an active shooter on campus or of any injuries, the school district said.

No one other than law enforcement will be allowed onto campus while the lockdown continues.
Police had the campus blocked off Thursday, and some students could be seen gathered across the street waiting to be picked up by their parents.
