A new spot for flavorful drinks, Asian street food and other treats has made its debut in a popular Columbia neighborhood.

GotCha Bubble Tea and Street Food has been in a soft opening phase during the last week at 701-B Santee Ave. in Five Points, as noted on the business’ social media. The shop was busy with customers on Tuesday afternoon when a reporter briefly went by.
The storefront at 701-B is familiar to fans of bubble tea, as it formerly was home to a Gong Cha location. That business closed in late June, and it was announced a short time later that GotCha would be taking its place.
The new GotCha spot has a menu featuring a host of drinks in a variety of flavors, including milk teas, refreshers, slushies, matcha, frappes, and cream coffees. The spot also offers Kremo rolled ice cream with a variety of toppings, sauces and candies to mix in.

And GotCha has a menu of street food, including Thai chili calamari, golden garlic shrimp noodles, jalapeno poppers, wings, popcorn chicken and more.
GotCha is located on Santee Avenue near the Five Points Walgreens, close to Blossom Street. Five Points, the more than century-old district east of the University of South Carolina, continues to be one of Columbia’s most beloved neighborhoods, lined with restaurants, boutiques, shops, bars, barber shops and more.
